The view from here

This is my backyard.  I share with nine other apartments, but I have my own little mini-quintal.  Right now my quintal (yard) is the shame of the neighborhood.  I think my neighbors are starting to grumble about property values or something.  I need to dig up all my weeds so that I have a beautiful dirt yard to sweep with a handful of sticks like all my neighbors.  Like I said, if I can finagle an enxada from someone I will hack the heck out of those weeds.  Luckily, it rained last night so I can't possibly do any yard work today.

This is a masked weaver that lives in the tree outside my house.

This is a blue waxbill I spied out my kitchen window.  It's eating a chicken feather.

This is Vito in my yard.  We were looking at birds together.  He's explaining to me that there are bugs on the ground.
